Recap:  West Babylon versus Newfield

The Game at A Glance: The 1st 3 times that West Babylon had the ball they scored on their 1^st play; Option pass from Richardson to Ballone, Robinson run and Melhado pass to Richardson. Even though Newfield made it close 21-14 before half time I don’t think they recovered from the fast start by West Babylon

First Half Highlights: On the 1^st play on offense West Babylon scored on a 70 yard option pass, the next time they got the ball they scored on a 23 yard run and the 3^rd time they scored on 53 yard pass. Newfield tried to come back and scored a 1 yard run and a 2 yard run. The 1^st half ended with West Babylon leading 21-14.  

Second Half Highlights: In the 3^rd quarter West Babylon scored on a 62 yard pass and then with the 4^th quarter Reggie Robinson carried like 11 times on a drive that took a good 6 minutes to score the final blow a 2 yard TD run that sealed the win for West Babylon. Newfield battled hard but just couldn’t mount any kind of offense. The final score West Babylon 34 Newfield 14

Play of The Game: The 1^st 3 times that West Babylon scored in the 1^st quarter were the plays of the game in my opinion.

Game Balls: Michael Richardson and Reggie Robinson West Babylon. For Newfield it was Ron Denig who had a good day running the ball for Newfield

Audibles:  I believe that West Babylon’s Michael Richardson, Reggie Robinson, Justin Fitzpatrick and Mike Kata will all play at an FCS DI school. Also look for Ron Denig and Julian Santiago of Newfield to end up at an FCS DI school.

I expect that Newfield will bounce back next week and play a very good game against North Babylon. Also these 2 teams might just meet again in the playoffs.
